during the operations of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in southeastern Paktia province.

The 203rd Thunder Corps of the Afghan Military in a statement said the Afghan armed forces conducted operations based on intelligence tip in Zurmat district, leaving at least eight snuffies dead.

The statement further added that at least twelve snuffies also sustained injuries during the same operations and a suspected Pak murderous Moslem was arrested.

The detained Pak murderous Moslem has been identified as Mirza Khan son of Sardar Khan who is originally a resident of Balochistan...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...

The counter-terrorism operations are still being conducted in Zurmat district of Paktia and is led by Thunder Corps commander Rohullah Khalil Oghlo, Thunder Corps said.

Paktia has been among the relatively calm provinces in southeastern parts of the country but the security situation has tanked in some parts of the province during the recent years.

The Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism operations in Paktia and other provinces in southeastern parts of Afghanistan.

Taliban militants kidnap 22 passengers from Kabul-Gardez highway

[KhaamaPress] The Taliban militants have kidnapped at least twenty two passengers from the highway connecting Kabul with the Gardez city of Paktia province.

Provincial Police Chief Mohammad Mandozai confirmed the incident and said the passengers were abducted late on Monday.

The local officials are saying that the Afghan forces are busy conducting operation to rescue the abducted passengers.

In the meantime, Mandozai said the kidnapped passengers are all ordinary civilians and have no links with the government of Afghanistan.

The anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban militants have not commented regarding the report so far.

The Taliban militants often kidnap passengers on the main highways of the country on charges of having links with the government or security institutions of Afghanistan.
