Islamic State member sentenced to death over killing security personnel in Nineveh

In a statement, Abdul Sattar al-Bayraqdar, spokesperson for the High Judicial Council, said Nineveh Criminal Court reviewed the case of a "suspect, accused of joining Islamic State. The court decreed sentencing him to death." The convict, according to the statement, "killed number of police and military personnel as well as planting bombs in regions of Bab al-Bayd, Qabr al-Bint, al-Boursa and Wadi Hajar in Nineveh." He also "executed several civilians in Bab al-Hadid region, Ghazi street and al-Sijn in djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... ," it added.
