Ahrar Al-Sham elects new leader in Syria
[ALMASDARNEWS] Harakat Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...
elected a new leader this week after holding their annual leadership conference.

Harakat Ahrar al-Sham is now part of the Syrian National Liberation Front, which is under the command of the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces.
According to the Islamist group, Jaber ’Ali Basha has been elected as the leader of Harakat Ahrar al-Sham, replacing Hassan Soufan after his short tenure in power.

Basha, 34, was born in the Idlib Governorate town of Binnish in 1984; he has been a member of the Islamist group since their inception.

Many opposition activists, commanders, and fighters have criticized this move via social media because Basha has virtually no experience in any leadership role.

Other opposition activists claimed that Basha was elected because The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
was pressuring Harakat Ahrar al-Sham to replace their former leader.

Harakat Ahrar al-Sham is now part of the Syrian National Liberation Front, which is under the command of the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces.
