France says it kills top Islamic State group official in Mali operation
[AlAhram] La Belle France said on Monday it had killed a top official from Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... group's affiliate in West Africa in an operation in Mali that also killed another member of the group and two civilians. The defence ministry, in a statement, named him as Mohammed Ag Almouner and said he was one of the brass hats of the Islamic State group in the Greater Sahara. It did not name the second member of the group who was killed. The ministry said two civilians - a woman and a teenager - were killed in the operation which was carried out on Sunday. Two other civilians and a member of the Islamic State group's affiliate group were also injured, the statement said. It said it regretted the civilians' death. La Belle France has deployed around 4,000 French troops in the West Africa's Sahel region ...
