Two killed in market attack in southern Thailand
[Bangkok Post] A village defense volunteer and a woman were gunned down, and another woman injured, by gunmen at a market in Pattani province on Thursday night. The shooting occurred in full view of those at the marketplace in Muang district. A man identified as Aryi Mudor, village defense volunteer, was gunned down at a stall where he was helping his wife sell women’s accessories. Two women were also hit by bullets and rushed to the hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead. She was identified as Armeenor Sama. Police investigators said some men pretending to be customers arrived at the stall, joining other people who were selecting items to purchase. Without warning, they opened fire at Aryi.
