PTI's Dr Arif Alvi elected 13th President of Pakistan

The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... 's (PTI) Dr Arifur Rehman Alvi has been elected the 13th President of Pakistain, according to results provided by the Election Commission of Pakistain. Alvi, who is now set to succeed the outgoing President Mamnoon Hussain, edged out PML-N backed chief of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Fazlur Rehman and senior PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan in the presidential race by garnering more votes than both his rivals combined. The ECP, in a blurb, said that a total of 1,110 voters participated in the presidential polls held simultaneously at the Parliament House and the four provincial assembles today.
