Iraqi Justice Ministry: death sentences against 7 IS members carried out
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Justice Ministry has announced carrying out death sentences against seven convicts over involvement in terrorism.

In a statement by the ministry on Monday, the ministry said the sentence was carried out "after legal measures were taken and a presidential decree was issued."

The convicts, according to Haidar al-Zamli, the minister, "belonged to Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....."
