[AlMasdar] (7:00 P.M.) ‐ The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) scored a new advance in the Euphrates River Valley, today, after another fierce battle with the Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Backed by US and French  s, the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to break into the strategic town of Baghouz Fouqani after advancing from the Baghouz Tahtani axis in southeast Deir Ezzor.According to the SDF’s official media wing, their troops managed to advance into Baghouz Fouqani, seizing the local council building and Sheikh Hamad Primary School after overrunning the Islamic State’s positions.
