Ahvaz terror attack perpetrators to face severe punishment: Khamenei

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei ...the successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and the actual dictator of Iran... says Iran will severely punish those "cowardly" elements who were behind a recent terrorist attack in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz. Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting in Tehran on Monday with a group of athletes and medal winners of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. Terrorists on Saturday shot up a crowd of people during a military parade in Ahvaz, killing 25 military personnel and civilians ‐ including women and kiddies ‐ and wounding at least 68 others. Describing the attack on defenseless people as an act of cowardice, the Leader noted, "According to [available] reports, this cowardly act has been perpetrated by the same people who are saved by Americans whenever they face a difficult situation in Iraq and Syria" and whose operations are being financed by Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that every medal won by Iranian sportsmen and sportswomen makes freedom-seeking nations of the world happy while vexing the arrogant front. "The arrogant [powers] are angered by victory of the land of the Medes and the Persians in any field.
