[DailyMail]
  • Dutch police have arrested seven men in Arnhem and Weert on suspicion of plotting a terror attack

  • Found 220lbs of fertiliser for car bomb after arrests, according to investigators

  • Ringleader has been named as Iraqi Hardi N, 34, who was convicted in 2016 of plotting to join Al Qaeda in Syria along with two others

  • In 2017 he had his sentence upgraded to two years on appeal, but was allowed to serve 21 of those on probation after court heard he renounced extremism

  • As a condition of release, he had to speak weekly to a theologian about his views

  • Two other alleged members of the terror cell also had previous convictions for terror offences, including 21-year-old Waïl el-A, who also tried to travel to Syria

  • El-A is linked to N through jihadi rapper Marouane B. All three lived in Arnhem before B traveled to Syria to fight
