IHC dismisses petition against Dawn regarding editorial policy
[DAWN] The Islamabad High Court on Monday dismissed a petition against Dawn newspaper regarding its editorial policy.The Civil Society of Pakistain, through its chairman Muhammad Tahir, had filed a petition against Dawn, questioning its "conduct" and urging the court to unmask the people behind what it claimed was the publication's "anti-state policy". After advocate Tahir Abdullah appeared before the court on the petitioner's behalf today, a single-member bench of the high court comprising Justice Muhasan Akhtar Kiani declared the petition as non-maintainable before proceeding to dismiss it.
