Turkish-backed rebel commander assassinated in southern Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] A Ottoman Turkish-backed rebel commander was assassinated in the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate, today, opposition activists reported from northwest Syria.
According to the reports, ’Abdel-Hamid al-’Izzo was killed on Friday when his vehicle struck a roadside kaboom in the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.
The military commander was assassinated while traveling along the Deir Sharqi-’Ayn Quria Road in southern Idlib.
’Izzo was the military commander of the Ottoman Turkish-backed National Liberation Front (Jabhat al-Wataniyah al-Tahrir) before he was assassinated on Friday.
