Russia Probes Terror after Teen Suicide Attack on Security Service
[An Nahar] Russia launched a terrorism probe Wednesday after a 17-year-old student went kaboom! at the regional headquarters of the FSB security agency, wounding three employees.

An bomb detonated in the FSB building shortly before 9:00 am (0600 GMT), authorities said.

Investigators identified the bomber as a 17-year-old local resident.

An official, who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity, named the jacket wallah as Mikhail Zhlobitsky, a student at a local technical college.

Investigators probing the attack released a photo of the suspect -- a skinny young man with a backpack -- inside the FSB building.

Authorities cordoned off streets around the building for several hours, with police and experts combing the area for clues.
The Times of Israel adds:
A man set off a bomb at the entrance of the local branch of Russia’s main intelligence agency in a northern city Wednesday, injuring three security officials and killing himself, authorities said.

The man entered the local branch of the FSB intelligence agency in Akhangelsk and removed the improvised bomb from a bag, causing it to detonate, the National Anti-Terrorist Committee said.

The kaboom killed the man and injured three FSB officers. It was not immediately clear if the man had meant to just leave the bomb or had also intended to die.
