Hamid Gul's son claims surviving attempt on life
[DAWN] Abdullah Gul, son of former ISI chief  Hamid GulThe nutty former head of Pakistain's ISI, now Godfather to Mullah Mohammad BlinkyOmar's Talibs and good buddy and consultant to al-Qaeda's high command... , on Friday claimed to have survived an attempt on his life, saying his vehicle came under fire on the Islamabad Expressway. Talking to media persons outside Safari Hospital, where the body of slain JUI-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq ...the Godfather of the Taliban,leader of his own faction of the JUI. Known as Mullah Sandwichfor his habit of having two young boys at a time... has been kept, Abdullah said armed assailants opened fire on his vehicle on the Islamabad Expressway. However, a lie repeated often enough remains a lie... he remained unhurt in the attack. Maulana Sami had been assassinated at his residence in Rawalpindi just hours earlier. Person or persons unknown stabbed the holy man to death while he was alone, initial reports said. Maulana Sami, said to be around 83 years old, was the head of the Darul Uloom Haqqania ...  an Islamic seminary located in Akora Khattak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The seminary propagates the Deobandi trend of Sunni Islam and is headed by Maulana Samiul Haq, known as the Godfather of the Taliban. It has been dubbed The University of Jihad due to the methods and content of instruction along with the future occupations of its alumni.... seminary in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Akora Khattak.
