Jihadist reinforcements pour into Idlib buffer zone as situation worsens in northwest Syria
[ALMASDARNEWS] The situation in the northwestern region of Syria has fallen apart, as the warring parties trade attacks against one another in the Idlib buffer zone.
Speaking to al-Masdar News earlier today, a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) officer in Hama reported that the jihadist rebels have reinforced the Idlib buffer zone and strengthened their front-lines.
The Syrian Arab Army officer said that the jihadist rebels have moved their reinforcements to the Sukeek, al-Taman’ah, and Jurjanaz fronts in the southern countryside of Idlib.
This move by the jihadist rebels this afternoon comes just hours after the Syrian Arab Army launched a big attack across the Idlib buffer zone.
The Syrian opposition has accused the government forces of killing at least ten civilians and wounding another 17 people during this large-scale attack.
