Police take control of seminary after seven hurt in clash
[DAWN] Police on Saturday night got control of a seminary and mosque in the Korangi area of Bloody Karachi...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... after a clash between two groups left seven people injured, officials said. "Police took control of both seminary and mosque to prevent the situation from deteriorating after the clash," said Karachi East Zone DIG Amir Farooqi. The officer said that seminary was controlled by one group while the mosque’s management was with the other group. The two groups often fought each other over ’donations, water and plucking coconut from a coconut tree, etc’. However, there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... on Saturday night, simmering dispute took an ugly turn and seven persons got injured during the clash.
