Low Energy Jeb Bush calls for Broward County official to be removed from post
 [The Hill] Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) called for the removal of Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes."There is no question that Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes failed to comply with Florida law on multiple counts, undermining Floridians’ confidence in our electoral process," Bush tweeted. "Supervisor Snipes should be removed from her office following the recounts." Snipes's leadership has come under attack as Broward struggles to count the remaining votes in the 2018 midterm elections held last Tuesday. Three statewide races in Florida, including the gubernatorial and the Senate race, are headed for recounts, sparking a legal fight over the counting process. Snipes was appointed by Bush when he was governor after he suspended her predecessor Miriam Oliphant in November 2003 for what he called "grave neglect, mismanagement and incompetence."
