 Mass grave of Yazidis executed by Islamic State found in Mosul Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi authorities announced on Wednesday the discovery of a new mass grave containing remains of 17 Yazidis who were massacred by Islamic State (IS) in 2014. Speaking to the Iraqi Alghad Press website, a security source said that the new mass grave was found in Kasar al-Mehrab village, west of Mosul. “The mass grave contained remains of 17 Yazidis who were killed following an Islamic State attack on the strategic town of Sinjar in August 2014,” added the source. 11 Iraqi students killed, wounded as bomb blast targets school bus in Mosul Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) – Eleven schoolboys were killed and wounded Thursday when a bomb blast targeted a school bus in Iraq’s second largest city of Mosul, a security source was quoted as saying. “An explosive charge targeted a bus carrying schoolboys in a village in al-Shura district, south of Mosul, leaving four students dead and seven others wounded,” the source told al-Ahd News Agency. Two Islamic State militants of Arab origins apprehended in Iraq Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi authorities announced on Wednesday that two Islamic State militants of Arab origins were arrested in Nineveh province. “Security forces in Nineveh Operations Command received intelligence reports about the presence of Islamic State’s dormant cells in the province,” Baghdad Today website quoted spokesman for the Security Media Center Brig.
