UAE’s Gargash: Doha missed opportunity to resolve the crisis
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash has stressed in a tweet that the recent article penned by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo - in which he mentions the importance of Soddy Arabia...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... in regional issues - should push the Qatar  ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Gargash said that this stance shows "the absence of wisdom and loss of direction". In a series of tweets on Wednesday Gargash wrote: "The article by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in The Wall Street Journal, in which he expresses Washington’s strategic support for Saudi Arabia, is very important. Pompeo criticized the double standards and political targeting of Riyadh, stressing the importance of Saudi Arabia on issues related to the region. The American position is clear and positive." Gargash added that as the US position is clear in its support for the stability of Saudi Arabia and its refusal to target it, the Arab and Gulf position is even more clear. "Saudi Arabia is the basis for any Arab and Gulf building, and its security, success and prosperity is a guarantee for all of us in a region that is still suffering from shocks and crises," Gargash said.
