Army soldier arrested three years after joining Taliban ranks in Helmand

The statement further added that Mullah Mir Ahmad was arrested shortly after returning to Maimana city. According to 209th Shaheen Corps, Mullah Mir Ahmad had also taken some weapons and munitions with him while deserting the armed forces rank. He was actively fighting against the Afghan national defense and security forces before he was arrested in Maimana city, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.
