US-backed forces deny attack on Syrian Army positions last night
[ALMASDARNEWS] The commander of the U.S.-backed Jaish al-Maghawir forces stated on Monday that the U.S. Coalition did not attack the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops in eastern Homs last night.The Jaish al-Maghawir commander, Mohannad al-Talaa, said that the U.S. Coalition did not hit the Syrian Army troops, as they were targeting the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. The rebel commander claimed that the U.S. Coalition attack was far away from the Syrian Arab Army’s front-lines in the al-Sukhnah region. This report by the rebel commander contrasts the Syrian Ministry of Defense’s claim that the U.S. Coalition had fired at least 15 missiles towards their positions in al-Sukhnah.
