Six Al-Shabaab Militants Killed In SNA Operation In Lower Shabelle Region
[RADIOSHABELLE] Somali security forces killed six al-Shabaab...  an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia...gunnies during a joint security operation in Basra, southern Somalia, on Saturday night. "A security operation carried out by the security forces in the Basra area killed six al-Shabaab members, and the head of the group was nabbed Book 'im, Mahmoud! ," the National Intelligence and Security Agency said in a statement. The security agency said the holy warrior group was planning to launch an attack in Mogadishu and its environs. The move came as Somalia and African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... peacekeeping troops intensify their onslaught against the al-Qaeda affiliated group in the south and central Somalia.
