Daesh struggles to hold ground as SDF troops advance east of Euphrates
[ALMASDARNEWS] The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) scored a big advance in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor last night after launching several attacks against the Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. (ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) According to reports from Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Democratic Forces managed to fracture the Islamic State’s lines at the town of Baghouz Tahtani, resulting in the capture of several points near the Iraqi border. The reports said that the Syrian Democratic Forces entered Baghouz Tahtani and established a foothold in the eastern part of the town. In addition to their advance at Baghouz Tahtani, the Syrian Democratic Forces were also able to capture new points inside the key town of Hajin.
