[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish military has already begun amassing along the Syrian border for their upcoming operation east of the Euphrates.

announced that his army’s next operation is set to take place in the coming days.

All three of the aforementioned cities are controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF); they also have U.S. observation posts near the Ottoman Turkish border.

Erdogan has expressed his desire to clear the entire eastern region of the Euphrates River Valley, despite the large presence of the U.S. Coalition in the SDF-held areas.

The Ottoman Turkish President said that the U.S. soldiers will not be targeted during the operation; however, they are currently blocking their path to these SDF-held regions in northern Syria.
