Captured Syrian ship contained over 100 million Euros worth of drugs bound for Libya
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Greek Coast Guard intercepted a Syrian flag ship that was sailing through the central waters of the Mediterranean Sea nine-days ago.

The Syrian flag ship ’Noka’ reportedly possessed six tons of processed hashish and 3 million ultra-strength captagon pills that were bound for the Libyan city of Benghazi.

According to the Greek Coast Guard, the Syrian ship left the port-city of Latakia and was en route to Libya before it was intercepted by the Greek authorities off the coast of Crete on December 5th.

The drugs were found under false floors in eight containers, hidden between layers of coffee, spices and wood shavings.

The Greek Coast Guard released footage of the intercepted ship and the arrest of the eleven crew members, who identified as ten Syrian nationals and one Indian national.
