Kenya To Deploy Additional Police Along Kenya-Somalia Border
[RADIOSHABELLE] The government will deploy at least one thousand additional police reservists along the Kenya-Somalia border in Wajir County as efforts to counter violent extremism intensify.Northeastern regional coordinator regional Mohammed Birik says the process of training the police reservists has been concluded and the officers are properly equipped. And in efforts to enhance cohesion among security agents and local communities, authorities in the area have launched sporting activities in the frontier counties of Garissa, Mandera, and Wajir as a way of building trust among the two groups.
