Man convicted of killing Syrian ex-wife in UK sentenced to 32 years in prison
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Janbaz Tarin, 21, who stabbed his former Syrian wife Raneem Oudeh and her mother Khaola Saleem, was sentenced to a minimum of 32 years in prison by a Birmingham court on Monday, according to a report by The Guardian.

Tarin stabbed Raneem and her mother Khaola, who had tried to defend and protect her daughter, to death in Solihull on August 27.

Tarin appears to be from Afghanistan, judging by his name and his Facebook account, which contains some posts in the Pashtun language.

During the trial, it was revealed that Raneem had left her husband Tarin after she learnt he was married to another woman with whom he had several children with in Afghanistan.

A video the night of the crime shows Tarin stalking Raneem and her mother and following them to a shisha lounge where they engaged in a verbal brawl that triggered the mother to slap him.

Raneem contacted the police but she and her mother left before the patrol arrived.

Tarin then followed them home and stabbed them both to death outside their home.
