Yahya Rasool as saying in a statement. “The troops also seized a vehicle inside the tunnel that was used to carry foodstuffs for the extremist group,” the statement read, adding that the tunnel was successfully destroyed. Roadside bomb explosion in Kirkuk leaves two civilians severely injured Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) – Two Iraqi civilians were injured Saturday in a roadside bomb explosion in western Anbar province, a security source said. Speaking to the privately-owned Almaalomah news website, the source said, “an explosive charge placed on the side of a road leading to Akashat town between Ar-Rutba and Al-Qaem districts in western Anbar, went off, leaving two people injured.” “The pair were moved to a nearby hospital, suffering from severe injuries,” the source said, adding that the security forces cordoned off the blast site and started a search for more explosive charges at the scene.
