Car bomb kills at least 1 at bazaar in Iraqi border town
 [Rudaw] A vehicle borne improvised bomb (VBIED) struck a bazaar in a border town in Anbar province on Friday morning killing at least one person and injuring more than a dozen."Terrorist attack via an explosive vehicle ‐ KIA," tweeted Iraq's defense ministry. The attack took place near one of the markets in al-Qaim district in Anbar province near the Syrian border. The kaboom "martyred one civilian and injured 12 others in addition to injuring four members of security forces." There was no immediate claim of the attack. The town is situated along the Euphrates River. The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS), Shiite paramilitias, and local Sunni tribal forces have tried to flush ISIS remnants out of the area since a large offensive in late 2017.
