Ivory and pangolin scales smuggling bust in Uganda
[PULSE.NG] More than 700 pieces of ivory and hundreds of pangolin scales have been discovered inside hollowed out logs in the Ugandan capital Kamapala, authorities said on Thursday, as two Vietnamese men were detained suspected of smuggling.
First time I ever saw a pangolin, I thought it was a hoax. The critter's scales look like they were carved out of wood.
In the old days we just called them scaly anteaters and were satisfied. |
