Homs: Syrian Army steps up operations against ISIS in central Syria
[AlMasdar] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their field operations against the Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) in central Syria on Saturday. Led by their 3rd and 11th divisions, the Syrian Arab Army attacked several areas with an Islamic State presence in the Badiya al-Sham region near the ancient city of Palmyra (var. Tadmur). According to a field report from this front, the Syrian Arab Army engaged in heavy festivities with the Islamic State on Saturday, resulting in a number of casualties for the terrorist group. A significant portion of the Islamic State’s equipment southeast of Palmyra was reportedly destroyed during the operation.
