Bid to assassinate police officers thwarted, terrorist shot dead: MoI
[KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Interior has announced that the security forces have rubbed out a terrorist who was looking to assassinate coppers in Herat...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, the terrorist was rubbed out in the vicinity of 5th police district of Herat city. The statement further added that the terrorist was looking to assassinate coppers in Herat city but was identified and rubbed out before he manages to carry out attacks. The slain terrorist was originally a resident of Pul-e-Rangina area of Herat city and a pistol has also been confiscated by the security forces, the statement by the Ministry of Interior added.
