Thai rebel gunned down in Narathiwat
 [Bangkok Post] An insurgent was killed and several others believed to be hurt in a clash with paramilitary rangers in Narathiwat district on Saturday morning. A team of rangers were deployed to the foothill of a mountain in Rueso district and found some four or five militants gathering there. Upon seeing the rangers, the men opened fire, leading to an exchange of gunfire for half an hour before the rebels fled. One unidentified militant was killed and an M16 rifle seized from him.
