Pakistani drone shot down near Rajasthan border
[Daily Excelsior] A Pak Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was Monday shot down at international boundary in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, sources said.Around 11:30 am, the UAV was detected by Indian Air Defence radars, the sources added. The sources said Sukoi-30 MKIs were involved in this action. The Indian Air Force (IAF) immediately scrambled Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets from the Nal Airforce Station, located on the outskirts of Bikaner. The jets took to the skies and shot down the UAV by firing an air-to-air missile. The UAV’s debris landed in Pakistain on a sand dune name MW Toba.
There was no official comment from either side. Both sides have continued to fire artillery and mortars over their de-facto border in Kashmire, the Line of Control (LoC), killing several civilians on both sides. This continued on Monday, both countries said, but no new casualties were reported. Pakistain said a soldier killed on Saturday was "buried with full military honour for defending the motherland." Indian forces have also jugged Book 'im, Mahmoud! several hundred separatist leaders and activists in Kashmire, and engaged in deadly shootouts with faceless myrmidons in its part of the territory..
