Taliban militants’ convoy targeted in Kunduz airstrike
[KhaamaPress] An Arclight airstrike was carried out on a convoy of Talibs in northern Kunduz province leaving at least seven Lions of Islam dead, the Afghan military said Wednesday.

According to a statement released by 209th Shaheen Corps, the airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of Khanabad district of Kunduz.

The statement further added that the airstrike was carried out at around 12:30am on Wednesday as a Taliban

commander identified as Mullah Alauddin alias Wasiq was travelling to Khwajah Pesta area with his six fighters.

The convoy was identified during a surveillance mission and was subsequently targeted leaving Mullah Alauddin and his fighters dead, the 209th Shaheen Corps said, addign that the vehicles and all weapons belonging to Taliban were destroyed.

The statement by 209th Shaheen Corps also added that Mullah Alauddin was one of the key commanders of Taliban in Khanabad district and was involved in major attacks in this province.
