Homs: ISIS carries out new ambush behind Syrian Army lines

(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) carried out a new ambush behind the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) lines on Saturday, killing four people in the process. According to a military source in Damascus, an Islamic State sleeper cell snuck into the Sawannah area in eastern Homs this morning, where they would later attack the civilians inside this region. The source said the Islamic State killed four civilians and then fled back into the desert in order to evade capture by the Syrian Arab Army. The Islamic State has been carrying out these attacks for several months now, with a recent surge in these ambushes since they lost the al-Safa region in northeast al-Sweida.
