The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East announced Sunday that the airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of Khogyani district. According to a statement released by 201st Silab, a commander of the group identified as Kateeb Ur Rehman was also among those killed. The anti-government armed bully boy groups including ISIS sympathizers have not commented regarding the airstrike so far. Nangarhar is among the relatively calm provinces in East of Afghanistan but the anti-government armed elements are active in some of its remote districts and often attempt to carry out attacks against the government and security personnel.
