PKK fighter killed, two others injured in clashes with Iraqi army in Sinjar Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) ‐ A Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighter was killed Sunday and two others were maimed in festivities with the Iraqi army in Sinjar district in Nineveh, a security source said. "Fierce festivities erupted between the Iraqi army and PKK fighters in Sinun town in Sinjar, leaving a Kurdish fighter dead and two others maimed," the source told SNG. "An Iraqi serviceman was also killed in the festivities, while four others were maimed," the source said, adding that security reinforcements were deployed across the area to control the situation.
