HTS captures infamous ISIS commander in rural Idlib

According to HTS, their security forces arrested the infamous Islamic State commander Rashid Tako after raiding his headquarters in the town of Masebeen. During the operation to capture Tako, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the Islamic State were involved in a fierce battle that would result in more than ten casualties for both sides. Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham has recently stepped up their security operations inside the Idlib Governorate in a bid to eliminate all of the Islamic State’s sleeper cells. The Islamic State’s sleeper cells have wreaked havoc on the Idlib Governorate this year, as they often carry out suicide kabooms and liquidations inside the areas controlled by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
