According to Military intelligence officers, in cooperation with the Samarra Operations Command and the Popular Mobilization Forces’ 313th brigade, two suicide bombers of Islamic State on a mission to conduct an attack were intercepted in Iraqi’s Samarra city and killed. The armed troops also destroyed four Islamic State hotbeds and dismantled a number of bombs during the clampdown. Five kilograms of ammonium nitrate, a substance used for making bombs, were also recovered. The military operation was launched upon directives by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
