[Jpost] Almost seven weeks after Israeli spacecraft Beresheet soared into the night sky at Cape Canaveral, Florida, commencing an epic 6.5 million kilometer journey, it is poised to make history on Thursday evening when it lands on the moon. Only three countries have completed the formidable task of landing a spacecraft on the lunar surface - the United States, Russia and China. At approximately 10:30 p.m. local time, the small state of Israel is set to join that prestigious club of veritable superpowers.
