Three NDS Officers Killed While Defusing Bomb In Herat
 [ToloNews] Three officers from Herat...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... ’s Directorate of National Security (NDS) bit the dust in an kaboom happened whole defusing an IED embedded to a vehicle, the NDS confirmed in a statement. The kaboom happened on Friday afternoon at around 4pm Kabul time inside an NDS facility in the province. The NDS in a statement said Herat NDS personnel had identified a vehicle on which bombs were embedded and the technical team was trying to defuse the explosives when the blast happened. The statement confirmed that three members of the technical team bit the dust and two others were maimed. Officials from Herat provincial hospital, however, said five people were killed and four others maimed in the kaboom and that they have been taken to the hospital.
