Taliban militants blow up one of the oldest shrines of Ghazni city
[KhaamaPress] The Talibs have blown up one of the oldest shrines in Ghazni city, the scenic provincial capital of south-eastern Ghazni province.

The local officials have confirmed that the shrine of Shams-ul-Arifin, one of the oldest shrines of Ghazni city was blown up by Talibs late on Wednesday night.

The shrine located in western parts of Ghazni city was one of the most famous shrines of the city and was widely respected by people.

The provincial government media office confirmed in a statement that the tomb of a popular Sufi Abdul Wahid also famous as Shams-ul-Arifin who had died in 601 Hijri or Lunar year, was located inside the shrine.

The statement further added that the Talibs blew up two shrines in Moqor district and another and the shrine of Sakhi Sahib was also blown up in Ghazni city by turbans of the group.

The Talibs have not commented in this regard so far.
