Palestinian mother, baby killed in Israeli raids on Gaza
 [Al Jazeera] A pregnant Paleostinian mother and her one-year-old baby have been killed in a wave of Israeli air raids on the Gazoo Strip, shattering a month-long lull in violence in the besieged enclave. The bombardment on Saturday came after Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,, which rules Gazoo, and the Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... movement fired more than 200 rockets towards cities and villages in southern Israel. At least three Paleostinians, including the mother, infant and a 22-year-old male, Emad Naseer, were killed in the air raids, the health ministry in Gazoo said, while 13 others were maimed. Shrapnel from the Gazoo rockets meanwhile maimed two Israelis; one of them was an 80-year-old woman. The escalation began on Friday when a sniper from Islamic Jihad fired at Israeli troops across the border wounding two of them, according to the Israeli military.
