Syrian Army captures 3 towns in northwestern Hama
[ALMASDARNEWS] A source from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) told Al-Masdar that the Tiger Forces had captured three towns from the jihadist rebels in the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.According to the source, the Syrian Arab Army imposed full control over the towns of Hawash, Tal Hawash, and Al-Jabriyah after a brief battle with the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkish-backed National Liberation Front. The source said the Syrian Army briefly held Tal Hawash a few days ago, but they were ultimately forced to withdraw after a swift counter-attack by the jihadist rebels. The Syrian Arab Army and their allies are now working to secure the northwestern axis of the Hama Governorate. With these three towns under their control, the Syrian Army will likely shift their attention to the large hilltop of Tal Sakher, which is needed to secure the imperative town of Kafr Naboudeh. Kafr Naboudeh, along with several other areas, was captured by the Syrian Arab Army and their allies last Wednesday; however, despite taking control of the town, they have faced heavy attacks from the jihadist rebels who are determined to retake their lost territories in northwestern Hama.
