Bomb attack kills five Iraqi civilians in Nineveh
Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) ‐ At least 13 Iraqi non-combatants were killed and maimed Sunday in a bomb kaboom in Nineveh province, Iraqi police said.

"A booby-trapped vehicle went kaboom! today, afternoon, near a marketplace in Rabia district in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, leaving five people dead," Glgamesh quoted the Security Media Cell as saying in a press statement.

"The kaboom left eight others maimed," the statement read. The maimed have been rushed to hospital.
Rudaw adds:
Five people were killed and eight injured Sunday in a bomb attack in the Rabia district of Nineveh Province, near the Syrian border, according to security officials.

A truck packed with explosives detonated near the village bazaar in Aweinat, Iraq’s Security Media Cell announced Sunday.

Although nobody has claimed responsibility for the blast, Iraq’s official security outlet said it was a “terrorist attack”.

It follows a string of recent attacks across northern Iraq claimed by the Islamic State group (ISIS), which has returned to its earlier insurgency tactics of bombings, ambushes, and kidnappings.
