Saudi jihadist rebel commander killed by Syrian military in Hama
[ALMASDARNEWS] An important figure in the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
jihadist group was killed over the weekend after the Syrian Air Force targeted a site he was present at.
According to a military report, the Sharia Chief of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, al-Mutassem Billah al-Madani, was killed on Sunday when the Syrian Air Force bombed a holy warrior site near the Idlib provincial border.
Al-Madani is a Saudi national that was considered a close confidant of the jihadist chief, Abdullah al-Muhaysni, who is also a Saudi national.
The death of al-Madani came on the same day that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) took control of the key town of Kafr Naboudeh in the northwestern countryside of Hama.
