Pakistan ready to help Afghanistan in post-settlement reconstruction, development: Qureshi
 Mehmood WormtongueQureshi has said that Islamabad is ready to help Afghanistan with the post-settlement reconstruction and development. He made the remarks during a meeting with the deputy foreign minister of Afghanistan Idrees Zaman in Islamabad on Saturday. Mr. Zaman is leading a delegation of Afghan officials to participate in first quarterly review session of Afghanistan-Pakistain Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity. In the meantime, Pakistain’s Foreign Ministry said the exchange of views between Mr. Qureshi and Mr. Zaman covered all aspects of bilateral relations and issues related to Afghan Peace process. According to a statement released by Pakistain’s Foreign Ministry, the two sides agreed to further enhance cooperation through regular engagement. They also agreed on exchange of high-level visits by the leadership of the two countries. The statement further added that Mr. Qureshi reassured Mr. Zaman that Pakistain remained committed to durable peace and stability in Afghanistan calling it a pre-requisite for development and prosperity of Afghanistan and the region.
