The Ministry of Defense in a statement said Tuesday that the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces cleared Belcharagah district of Faryab province from enemies.

the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the security forces recaptured the district earlier today.

The statement further added that Talibs were in control of the district for the past one year.

The interior ministry also added that the Talibs had taken the residents of Bulcheragh as hostages, closed the schools and were extorting the people.

The Talibs have not commented regarding the recapture of Bulcheragh district so far.

The security and defense officials had earlier vowed that the security forces would to retake the control of all fallen districts from the bad boys.

The Afghan forces had earlier recaptured the control of the strategic Khwaja Omari district in Ghazni province.
