Casualties toll from Taliban mortar attack on Faryab market rises to 53
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan military has confirmed that the casualties toll from mortar attack on Faryab market has climbed to 53 people.The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the Talibs fired mortars on Khwaja Sabz Posh market early on Friday. The statement further added that the attack killed 14 civilians and maimed 39 others including several children. Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the Talibs launched the attack as dozens of people had gathered in the market to shop in Friday Bazar. Meanwhile, ...back at the shouting match, the spittle had reached unprecedented levels... the 209th Shaheen Corps said the security forces launched an immediate operation to shift the maimed civilians to medical facilities. The 209th Shaheen Corps also added that the security forces also donated blood to help the injured civilians.
